Began woodworking in earnst in 1990 after visiting a woodworker’s cooperative gallery in Seattle. Every piece on display in that store was a piece of art as well as a piece of furniture. The craftsmen, rather - artists, blended woods of extraordinary beauty -- curly maple, Birdseye maple, walnut, ebony - together with exquisite joinery to produce furniture that offers more than a function, it inspires.
And I was inspired by the inherent beauty of woods as tiger maple and curly walnut, carefully crafted to bring out that beauty in the furniture made. For this reason I particulary enjoy making arts and crafts style furniture. Mission furniture, with its clean lines lets one focus on the beauty of the wood. I particularly enjoy the arts-n-crafts style, yet, like to add some of my touches by using combinations of woods in a single piece.
But it isn't just furniture ... gift items too offer just as much enjoyment. So if there is something interesting that you see while you are visiting my web pages let me know if there is a one-of-a-kind item for you.
